IV Line
This track is closed due to logging (March 2008).
This is a revamped downhill track that while deceptively easy to start with has a killer half-pipe / set of switch-backs in the middle! Not for the hesitant rookie like me! To get to the start of this track, find your way to Tantragee Saddle and then up to the top of fireball road where the Turners track starts. Where the road turns off to the left to go up to the trig, you will find the entrance to the IV line through a patch of blackberries. Waypoint 1 (S41 17.125 E173 18.686) Start of IV Line Track Cruising on down you will find a couple of little technical bits and then suddenly you find yourself confronted with the challenge. Waypoint 2 (S41 17.314 E173 18.562) "The Challenge" If you survived the challenge and lived to tell the tale, then enjoy the last meander down through the forest and back out over the fence at the bottom where the Codgers Connection joins back on to the road at the water works. Waypoint 3 (S41 17.468 E173 18.545) Exit to road.  |  Waypoint 1. Entrance to the IV Line is about 10 metres along the track opposite the top of Turners   |
