Short Rides
A permit is required to ride in Hancock
Forests. Members of the Nelson Mountainbike Club receive an annual
permit as part of their membership fee. To join the Club go to "MTB
Membership Form", which can be filled out on-line. Payment instructions are on the form. See "Hancock Forest Maps" for
locations of forest boundaries. For the latest forest access information check Forest Access Updates on the Noticeboard.

Clover Knob 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Moderate fitness, limited technical skills required. | 
Chings Highway 1 to 2 hours, moderate fitness, some rough descents require some technical skill. | 
Fringed Hill 1 to 2 hours, good fitness and moderate technical skills required. | 
Hira Ridge 1.5 to 2.5 hour ride. Generally easy but a couple of steep technical bits.
