Maitai X/C Round 5
1st July 2006. Starting from Maitai Farm the course followed a farm road to the ridge top above between the Centre of New Zealand and Walters Bluff. It then headed north along the ridge about 2km before diving east down a recently cut over break through the scrub to the valley floor. From there it was all down hill on a muddy farm track back to the finish line. Junior 1 did one lap and the rest 2 laps apart from Senior Men who did 3. The drop down through the scrub wasn't thought to be rideable, but many riders did manage it.
