Four Peaks Challenge November 27th 2005

Hi Everyone Sorry it has been so long for the results to come through, it's a mad time of the year. Again, another very sucsessful running of 4 Peaks. The weather really turned it on ( for spectators ) however the hot sunny day had some riders really battling with cramp in the latter stages of the course. It never fails to surprise me that people who continually suffer cramp don't take enough water or cramp spray. This is a tough demanding course, most prevailed - some did not. Congratulations to Chris Burr who took away the Solander Trophy, once he had the lead he never looked like giving it up. A specical mention to the second overall place getter Doug Sharland who normally rides in Vet 2 category, well done Doug. In true 4 Peaks form we all sat around and enjoyed a snarler and a beer in the sun while exchanging nasty leg seizing stories. Next year's event will focus on teams with performance prizes for various team categories, give that some thought before now and then. Thank you all for your support over the year, don't forget about the Triple T series held on Wednesday nights - check the web site. Have a good Christmas.
